Courthouse Plaza, dancing outside. When we started it was already starting to get a little cool but stayed nice. We danced some Mainstream, Plus, Rounds and even did some Line dancing. We had lots of fun.
There were lots of people sitting around watching and enjoying themselves.
Mile-Hi for the last 60 years have been dancing on the Courthouse Plaza.
We had a nice drive up and back. There were people from all over. Will be going back up there in August 18, 2009 and we hope to see you there. If you have never had the experience of dancing in the Courthouse Plaza you should.
It is a active Courthouse. remember to bring your water.

Checkmates square Dance Club
June 6, 2009
This was a great dance lots of Fun. We had 11 squares dancing and people sitting around. Good crowd. It was casual and everyone seemed to of been relaxed and ready for some Fun dancing. Called some good Pattern and the dancers just glided right through the calls.
The more Fun they were having the more Fun I was having, started dancing around on stage. There were some requests one of the biggest requests I get is Fisherman's Luck, it has been a while since the last time I have done it. But to watch and listen to the dancers when I do Fisherman's Luck is just so rewarding.
The dancers had smiles that lite up the room. During the rounds got to have some time to talk with the Dancers.
Myrna cued the Rounds. It has been a few years since I have works with Myrna. She aways does a great job and there were always a floor full of round dancers.
I am looking forward to coming back July 11, 2009. We invite you to come and join us, you will have Fun I know I do.

Summer Square Dancing
We did for the first time try to start a summer program. It has been doing pretty good and have lots of good response from it. The dancing has been great. I have enjoyed this as much as the dancers have.
Every Tuesday night at 7-9pm there is a plus dance at Rock Shadows. We have been having lots of fun. Everyone who come out is ready for a good fun time. The dress is casual.
Wednesday nights we have a A-1 workshop dance. This has turned out to be pretty good, and the dancers are getting lots out of the workshop. The level each week is better and better. I truely have enjoyed this program.
We invite you to come out and join us.

Buffalo Wallow in Delta Junction, Alaska

I was really looking forward to coming up there again. Last year was the Spring Fling and this year the Buffalo Wallow. I flew up on a Thur. and the Festival started on Fri. We had workshops in the day and dances in the evening, well by the clock it was evening but by the sun it was always light. Sure it would get dusk but that is the darkest it would get.
We had fun and some of the dancers were at every workshop and dance didn't miss a thing. To see so many having so much fun. Do have a video of them dancing to Soul Man and they were having a great time with it check it out when you can. www.youtube.com There was lots of good dancing and big smiles and lots of laughing.
Got to do lots of fun things in the pattern calls. There were lots of surprise looks on some of the faces, which was great.
After the dances in the evenings there was a big campfire. One of the favorite foods was campfire pies. They were great and they were filled with different things.
Many of us would go out to breakfast or lunch. It is a annual that during the Festival they would square dance at Rita's Roadhouse. The festival ended Monday in Fairbanks at the Santa's Square dance Club. There I called some Plus.
Then there was open mic for all of the callers got to call. One of them was Dave Smith who calls for the Club in Delta Junction and near by clubs. Dave and I got to spend lots of time together. Dave and his wife Sheila opened their home to me, that is where I stayed. They made me feel so welcomed.
I never felt like I was with any strangers.
Then I got a real big treat when Marlin took me up in his bi- plane. Now that was something and it was a thrill. To Marlin I thank You very much. The view was something and it was a great experience. for a few minutes he let me fly the plane.

Valley Singles is a fun Club. They are getting bigger each year. It is always a pleasure to call for their them. Did alot of fun Pattern and some fun up beat Singing calls. Steve Harris was the Cuer for the evening. It is always fun to work with him. Steve keep the floor full of Round dancers.
We had over 6 squares on the floor for most of the evening, which the club was real happy about. They were having so much fun. It makes me feel good when you see so many smiles and hear lots of laughing. Lots of good refreshments. We have made many friends there. Did get some video taken which is now on youtube. Check it out www.youtube.com you will also find several others at different places I have called.

Thunderbirds in Apple Valley, Ca.

It was a big honor to come back and call for this Club. There is alot of History with the Thunderbirds and myself. Way back in my eariler years I use to call and teach for this Club. I moved away from the area. Then years later I moved closer to their area.
The dance was like a homecoming. So many ole' faces and there were some new ones, many new ones. Also there were a couple of couples that I had taught over 25 years ago. To see them still dancing and still having as much fun brought such a good feeling. They danced and danced some more. Many of the dancers were happy that I was back in the area.
The decorations were great. The theme was Hickory Dickory Dockery. They had a grandfathers clock with mice on it.
The dancing was good lots of engery and excitment. I was a treat to have Carrie Masters showed up and she did a tip with me. I think she is one of the greatest female Callers there is, maybe I am partical cause she is also my very bestest of friends. She is one of the callers that is going on the cruise with us.
We stayed with some friends who opened their big beautiful home to us Dick and Mary Hardy. They have been with the club for many years and they have done some good many things for the club.
The Refreshments was like a Banquet there was a little bite of everything. I am looking forward to coming back there again Sat. Feb. 13, 2009 hope to see you there.

I have been calling & teaching for this Club for a few years, I am honored. We have made so many good friends. They are not a big Club, but they have been around for over 35 years.
They are Fun & Friendly and they love to dance, and make new friends.
They Dance on the 2nd & 4th Fridays of every month. They do have Rounds which is Cued by Barb Haines.

This was the first time I Called for this Club, and it was a blast, what fun. There was lots of good Dancing, and you could hear lots of laughs.
I was also asked to Cue the rounds, and there were several Rounds dancers which was great.
Ore Valley is not to far from Tucson, so we had a nice drive.
We met so many people and made many new friends.

What a good dance. As I said in the past, it is a Honor to be asked to Call for this Club. They come in with Smiles on their faces and are wanting to Dance and have fun.
Even though many of the Snowbirds have left for Summer we had a good crowd.
Steve & Lori Harris Cued the Rounds. Steve kept the floor flowing and full with the rounds dancers. I look forward to working with them.
Checkmates is a very Friendly Club, if you are ever in this end of the Country and have a Saturday free go dance with them, you will make new friends, I know we have.

We had a good dance. Lots of Friendly faces. It was good to see our friends up there again. I have always enjoyed calling for them. We danced some Mainstream and Plus tips. There was some good dancing on the floor. Did alot of fun up-beat songs.
Annie Brownrigg cued the rounds. She always does a great job and do enjoy working with her. Annie has a way of making the Rounds fun and easy to do.
Roadrunners have a great place to dance and lots of parking. It is easy to find.

Sunday Dance with Mike Wilder & Dale Dockery Calling Chuck Weiss Cueing

This dance was fun for several reasons. I got to call with a good friend Mike Wilder & his wife Donna, we have been friends for over 30 years and this is the first time we have called together in more years than I can remember.
Lots of fun dancing, Mike did a good job calling.
Chuck and Sandi Weiss did the rounds and Chuck always does a great job, it was a joy to have him Cue.
Mike and Chuck danced one tip together as partners they had fun, but the dancers in that square got a hoot out of it.
Pat out did herself on the refreshments.
The only person that was missing was Carrie Masters, then we would of had the entire Cruise Hosts. I am hoping that I might be able to work it out to have a Sunday dance with all of them next season befor the cruise starts.
This cruise is going to be fun and one that you do not want to miss. Plan you 2010 vacation with us.

This was special for me to be asked to Call for their first Mainstream Dance. I was a few minutes late, it was not the easiest place to find, but it was beautiful hall. I will never be late there again.
We did have a work shop before hand and then we danced and had lots of fun. A good friend of ours and his wife came with us and they had fun dancing with new dancers.
There were some Round Dancers there so I did Cue some Rounds for them.
I was asked about coming back, would in a heart beat they were really alot of fun.

Graduation Mainstream Dance

This was a special class every Callers dream. They were always smiling and laughing. We stated off with just over 4 squares, Just over one square had to leave early, not to worry they have plans of finishing at a Club near their Summer homes. Graduated 23 people who found a new world that they love and enjoy. They are dancing to other callers meeting new friends. Making plans for summer dancing.
They all will be back next year to pick up and do more dancing and possible take Plus Lessons. They all are dancing so well, I am so proud and pleased how this class turned out. They have such a great way they look at Square Dancing.
Many of them went out and bought them Square Dance attire and they like wearing them they say they are fun. We even spend time on learning some skirt styling which they asked for. Styling is becoming a lost art form.
The Graduation Dance turned out good. There were Plus and Advance Dancers there and they made sure they got to dance with the New Dancers. The more experienced dancers were very supportive and encouraging to the New Dancers.

Kingman Kutups Hobo Dance

Kingman had their annual Hobo Dance. There were some really good looking Hobos this year. They invited their New Dancers to Join them, some of them even got into the sprit of the Dance Theme.
It is always a treat to call to New Dancers. They get that deer in the headlight look, then when they made it they get such big grins on their faces, and many of them start laughing and having fun. They did a great job. Mike Wilder their Caller / Instructor is doing a fine job.
We were also honored in having many of the Dancers of the Good Time Square Dance Club out of Las Vegas, Nevada join us. They had a bus load of Dancers it was really nice and alot of fun to have them as Guests.
Kingman Kutups is a multi level Club, Mainstream and Plus. So there was plenty of dance time at both levels. It was great to see the more experienced Dancers, dancing with their future New Club Members.

Through their hard work they are strong and growing, stronger by numbers and good dancing each year. I can remember in years past when it was much smaller and not as strong. My hat is off to them all.

This was our second Sunday Dance, the Ballroom was full with smiles every where you looked. Bill Haynes and Dale was Calling and John Young did the cueing. There were lots Round Dancers also having fun.
We were please with the turn out. Lots of good Dancing. The Calling and Cueing were great . The Callers & Cuer were having fun with the Dancers and the Dancers were having fun with the Callers and Cuer.
We want to Thank Bill and John for the great job they did and hope we will be able to do it again.
Our next Sunday dance will be in March 22, 2009, Mike Wilder will be our guest Caller and Chuck and Sandi Weiss will be Cueing.

I once again had the Honor to Call and Cue for Cactus Dodgers in Quartzsite, Az. in the QIA building. We had a good time got to call alot of fun things. This time we came down early and stayed with Jim & Lenora, they have a nice peice of property. We always look forward going up and Calling & Cueing for them and seeing Friends. Dale Dockery & Tom Roper Sunday Dance

This was our first Sunday Dance. Guest caller was Tom Roper Wayne Guice was Cueing the Rounds. We did have a good Dance in our new location at Rock Shadows Resort. This was the first time Tom and I worked together and we had fun. We do have another Sunday dance coming up in Dec. 28, 2008 Guest Caller Bill Haynes and John and Nancy Young Cueing the Rounds. Mark your calendar you will not want to miss it.

We had a nice drive up to Cottonwood, Az. to Call for their Club. Barb Lopez was Cueing that night. We had a good crowd. Lots of fun Dancing. As always it was good to see some old friends and some new ones also. March 28,2009 will be the next time I will be calling for Cottonwood Roadrunners, hope yu join us. We had a nice drive up to Cottonwood, Az. to Call for their Club. Barb Lopez was Cueing that night. We had a good crowd. Lots of fun Dancing. As always it was good to see some old friends and some new ones also. March 28,2009 will be the next time I will be calling for Cottonwood Roadrunners, hope yu join us. Checkmates Square Dance Club

I always look forward Calling for Checkemat here in Mesa, Az. We had a good fun dance. Called lots of fun things, there were a few "Deer in headlights" but they all got through it with a big smile on their face. Rounds were done by Chuck and Sandi Weiss. I always look forward to working with them. The time flew by so quickly. It was Pie night and there were pies of every kind there. The pies were there one minute and gone the next. Everyone loves to eat pie. I saw some Pumpkin, Apple, Cherry, Peach, Cocanut Cream, and many others, Everyone who brought pies, Thank You, for such good pies.

This was the first time I have had the honor to call for this Club in Glendale, Az. We had some where around 5-6 squares. They are fun and pretty good dancers. There was even a couple from Kingman Kutups in Kingman, Az. that was there. They were passing by on their way to Texas. Annie Brownrigg was Cueing the rounds. She is a good Cuer. Bob Jones Calls for Crazy 8's regularly.

Kingman Kut-ups - Kingman, Az.

We would like to thank all the Dancers that came out to the Kingman Kut-ups Halloween Dance. It was great to see so many good friends. There were several that come from Lake Havasu. It was so good to see them all. There were some really fun looking costumes. It was very hard to choose a winner, my option they were all winners. The Dancers were ready to have Fun. The Hall was full of high energy, and the dancing was great. This is the first time I got to call in their new Hall since they move to their new location. Clean, easy to get to, lots of parking and room to dance. Lester Auria did the Cueing. It was nice working with him again, it has been a long time, and to see his lovely wife Barbara. There were two other callers at the Dance that night. Mike and Donna Wilder, good friends for many years, Mike calls for Kingman Kut-ups Square Dance club, and does some touring. We would like to thank them for putting us up in their home. They have a nice place out in the country. Gordy and Linda Oseth was also there, it was good to see them. Gordy and I use to play some golf together before we moved from Lake Havasu. Gordy calls for the London Bridge Square Dance club. Both of these Clubs are fun and the Dancers are friendly and fun to dance with. If you are ever in there are stop by and Dance and make some new friends. I am looking forward to going back up there for their Hobo Dance, Jan. 24, 2009, Class Dancers are also Welcomed. it would be great if you were in the area to come out to Encourage and Welcome our future Square Dancers

Carrie, Mike and myself have been good friends for many years. This will be the first time in a long time that we will be Calling together.
We know Chuck and Sandi but have not had the honor to work with Chuck yet, but I do know how good he is. His cueing makes Round Dancing seem easy and fun. Both of him and his Wife Sandi a great people.
It has taken some time to get this Square Dance Cruise put together. Our tour counselor has been great and she will be a great help for your wants and needs rather it is flying or cruising she will be able to help you.
Our Early Bird Special we are not sure how long that special will be dropped. Once you secure your cabin with a deposit you will not have to worry about the rates changing.
Which we all know with the price of fuel and taxes is always subject to change. Booking early you not only save there but you will also get $100.00 off.
We will be cruising for 4 days to the Islands and then port at 5 of the Islands and then 4 days at sea then we will stop in Ensenada, Mexico then back to San Diego, Ca. We will be dancing 6 times while at sea. We will also be having a Cocktail Party for the Dancers.

Santa's Square Dance Club - Fairbanks, Alask
I want to give a special thanks to Tammy and Marlin Pruitt. They picked me up and they put me up in their nice home. Then on my last day they took me around and showed me some of their town and the area. Thank YouSanta's Square Dance Club flew me up and took such good care of me. It was cold up there it would get up to 27 degress and it would snow. They have a beautiful hall. The dancers are so much fun. We had work shops and the dancers loved the work shops. this was a 4 day event and lots of dancing and so much laughing. These people are a hoot.
The Kingman Kutups Spring Jubilee was alot of fun. I have had the honor of guess calling there for over 12 years. Watch the Club grow is good. Spring Jubilee is a 2 day event and there were so many dancers. We had fun at the work shops. The club caller Mike Wilder and his wife Donna have been good friends of mine for over 30 years, he is a great caller and if you are ever in that area you will want to dance to him.
Welcome Back Dance
Apache Trail Callers have a Welcomed back dance the 1st Sunday in January. We have 7 Callers, 2 Cuers, and 2 halls. In one hall they call Plus and in the other hall they call Advance. The Apache Trail Callers are Professional Callers. Visit our Mesa Schedule Web-site at my links. This year we had 55 Plus Squares and 22 Advance Squares. This dance is a must.

Cactus Dodgers Quartzsite, Az.
It is always a great time to Call for the Cactus Dodgers. I have been guest calling for them over 12 years. They are good friends and it is a treat to see them. They dance in the QIA Building and they have this huge parking lot . Traveling dancers are welcomed to park their RV's in the lot overnight free of charge as long as they attend the dances. We hope to see you there next year as I am calling for thier club 4 times.

They were having a fun raiser and Hired me to teach them some Square Dancing. So the parents and staff came out. Their fund raiser turned out well and we all had so much fun. They danced and laughed alot. Within a few minutes they were moving around the floor Square Dancing.
